# How to Bridge USDT from Tron to Ethereum (TRC-20 to ERC-20)

> Bridge USDT from Tron (TRC-20) to Ethereum (ERC-20) with L2Pass Swap. Compare routes and see all fees before you confirm. 0% L2Pass fee on stablecoin swaps.

You can bridge USDT from Tron (TRC-20) to Ethereum (ERC-20) with [L2Pass Swap](https://swap.l2pass.com/), a non-custodial interface that shows every route for the pair side by side. In test quotes on October 10, 2026, it offered three routes for this pair: L2Pass RFQ, the native USDT0 bridge and L2Pass Private, each with an estimated time of about 1.5 minutes. There is a 0% L2Pass fee on stablecoin swaps (up to 0.3% on private swaps), and every fee is already included in the amount you will receive, shown in the quote before you confirm.

## Routes for USDT from Tron to Ethereum

L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private both run on [NEAR Intents](https://near.org/intents), where solvers and market makers compete to fill your swap. Private executes it in a confidential environment.

| Route | Estimated time | Output | Notes |
| :- | :- | :- | :- |
| L2Pass RFQ | About 1.5 minutes | Variable, with a minimum received | Pay to a one-time deposit address. Minimum about 100 USD. |
| USDT native bridge (USDT0) | About 1.5 minutes | Fixed | Signed in your Tron wallet. Adds a LayerZero message fee of about 5 TRX. |
| L2Pass Private | About 1.5 minutes | Variable, with a minimum received | Deposit address. L2Pass fee up to 0.3%. Minimum about 100 USD. |

No aggregator routes (LI.FI, LI.FI Intents, Relay, Aori or the OKX DEX aggregator) were offered for this pair in those test quotes. The quote lists any route that can fill the pair.

Test quotes for 1,000 USDT on October 10, 2026 showed these amounts received: 999.54 USDT on L2Pass RFQ, 999.7 USDT on USDT0 (plus about 4.97 TRX for the LayerZero message) and 997.05 USDT on L2Pass Private. The live quote shows current numbers for your amount.

## How to bridge USDT from Tron to Ethereum

**1. Open L2Pass Swap**

Go to [swap.l2pass.com](https://swap.l2pass.com/), choose USDT on Tron as the source and USDT on Ethereum as the destination, then enter the amount and set the Ethereum address that will receive the USDT.

**2. Compare the routes**

Each route card shows the expected output, minimum received, estimated time and fees. Default slippage is 0.05% (editable) and does not apply to fixed-output routes such as USDT0.

**3. Set a refund address**

For L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private, set the refund address to a Tron wallet you control. If the swap cannot complete, your deposit is returned there.

**4. Pay by wallet or deposit address**

On the USDT0 route, sign the transaction in your Tron wallet. On L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private, send USDT to the one-time deposit address from your connected wallet, any Tron wallet or an exchange, by address or QR code. If you send from an exchange, check that the amount that arrives matches the quote, since some exchanges deduct their withdrawal fee from it.

**5. Track the swap**

For L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private, follow the status in **Recent swaps**: *Awaiting deposit*, *Deposit confirmed*, then *Complete*. A USDT0 transfer is a LayerZero message, so you can follow it on [LayerZero Scan](https://layerzeroscan.com/) with your Tron transaction hash.

## Things to know

* **Gas on Tron only.** Sending TRC-20 USDT costs TRX for energy and bandwidth. Any network fee on the destination chain is deducted from the amount shown, so you do not need gas there.
* **Refunds.** On-chain routes revert (gas is not refundable). Deposit-address routes return your deposit to the refund address; provider and network fees may be deducted.
* **No partial fills.** A swap completes in full or does not execute.
* **Minimum amount.** In test quotes on October 10, 2026, L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private needed at least about 100 USD for this pair. If your amount is below a route's minimum, the route is listed as unavailable with the minimum shown.
* **Compliance checks.** No account or KYC is needed for regular use, though a provider may request extra checks for a specific transaction. If a provider flags a swap as high risk under AML or sanctions rules, it decides whether to complete, refund or hold it, and a refund is not guaranteed.

## FAQ

> **How long does it take to bridge USDT from Tron to Ethereum?**
>
> L2Pass RFQ, USDT0 and L2Pass Private each showed an estimated time of about 1.5 minutes in test quotes on October 10, 2026. Route cards show the current estimate before you confirm.

> **How much does it cost to bridge USDT from Tron to Ethereum?**
>
> There is a 0% L2Pass fee on stablecoin swaps (up to 0.3% on private swaps). Routing partners and the networks charge their own fees, and the amount shown already includes them all. In a test quote on October 10, 2026, L2Pass RFQ showed a service fee of 0.1 USDT (0.01%) from the NEAR Intents network and a 0.3 USDT network fee on Ethereum.

> **Do I need ETH to receive USDT on Ethereum?**
>
> No. You pay gas only on Tron, in TRX. The network fee on Ethereum is deducted from the amount shown (0.3 USDT in a test quote on October 10, 2026). You need ETH later to move or use the USDT.

> **Can I send TRC-20 USDT directly to an Ethereum address?**
>
> No. Tron and Ethereum are separate networks with different address formats, so you need a cross-chain route like those in L2Pass Swap.
