No account, pay from any wallet or exchange, fees shown in the quote. You can swap native BTC on Bitcoin to USDT on Tron or Ethereum, and USDT back to BTC, with [L2Pass Swap](https://swap.l2pass.com/). In test quotes on October 19, 2026, two routes were offered for these pairs, L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private, both run on [NEAR Intents](https://near.org/intents). A swap from BTC took about 13.5 to 14 minutes, and a swap to BTC about 9 minutes, mostly waiting for Bitcoin block confirmations. You pay by sending BTC or USDT to a one-time deposit address from any wallet or exchange, with no account. L2Pass Private showed a 0.3% L2Pass fee. ## How to swap BTC to USDT **1. Open L2Pass Swap** Go to [swap.l2pass.com](https://swap.l2pass.com/), choose BTC on Bitcoin as the source and USDT on Tron or Ethereum as the destination, then enter the amount and set the address that will receive the USDT. **2. Compare the routes** Check the expected output, minimum received, estimated time and fees on the L2Pass RFQ and L2Pass Private cards. Default slippage is 0.05% (editable). **3. Set a refund address** Set the refund address to a Bitcoin address you control. If the swap cannot complete, your BTC is returned there. **4. Send BTC to the deposit address** Send the amount shown in the quote to the one-time Bitcoin deposit address from any Bitcoin wallet or an exchange, by address or QR code. If you send from an exchange, check that the amount that arrives matches the quote, since some exchanges deduct their withdrawal fee from it. **5. Track the swap** Follow the status in **Recent swaps**: *Awaiting deposit*, *Deposit confirmed*, then *Complete*. The deposit is confirmed after Bitcoin confirms your transaction. To swap USDT to BTC, choose USDT on Tron or Ethereum as the source and BTC as the destination, set a Bitcoin receiving address, set a refund address on your USDT network and send the USDT to the deposit address in the same way. ## Things to know * **Bitcoin fees.** You pay the Bitcoin network fee when you send BTC. When you receive BTC, the Bitcoin network fee is deducted from the amount shown. * **Timing.** Bitcoin blocks come about every 10 minutes, so swaps from or to BTC take longer than stablecoin transfers between other chains. * **Refunds.** If a swap cannot complete, your deposit is returned to the refund address; provider and network fees may be deducted. * **No partial fills.** A swap completes in full or does not execute. * **Minimum amount.** Some routes have a minimum swap amount. If your amount is below it, the route is listed as unavailable with the minimum shown. * **Compliance checks.** No account or KYC is needed for regular use, though a provider may request extra checks for a specific transaction. If a provider flags a swap as high risk under AML or sanctions rules, it decides whether to complete, refund or hold it, and a refund is not guaranteed. ## FAQ > **Do I need to wrap BTC to swap it to USDT?** > > No. You send native BTC on Bitcoin to the deposit address, and USDT arrives on Tron or Ethereum. > **How much does it cost to swap BTC to USDT?** > > The L2Pass fee is up to 0.2% (up to 0.3% on private swaps).
